Fifth or Vishuddh Chakra is depicted as a silver crescent within a white circle, with 16 light or pale blue, petals. The seed mantra is Ham, the residing deity is Panchavaktra shiva, with 5 heads and 4 arms, and the Shakti is Shakini. Vishuddha should be understood as relating to communication and growth through expression. This chakra is parallel to the thyroid, which produces thyroid hormone, which is responsible for growth and maturity. Physically, Vishuddha governs communication, emotionally it governs independence, mentally it governs fluent thought, and spiritually, it governs a sense of security.

पांचवें या विशुद्ध चक्र को सोलह हल्के नीले रंग की पंखुड़ी वाले एक कमल के रूप में देखा गया है। कमल के ठीक बीच में एक वृत्त की भी परिकल्पना की गयी है। इसका बीज मंत्र हं है, अधिष्ठात्री देवता पंचवक्त्र शिव है, जिनके पांच  सिर और पांच आयुध हैँ।  इसकी शक्ति शाकिनी है। विशुद्ध चक्र अभिव्यक्ति, संचार और विकास से जुड़ा है। यह  चक्र थायराइड के समानांतर है, जहाँ पर थाइरोइड हॉर्मोन बनता है जो शारीरिक विकास और परिपक्क्वता का संतुलन बनाये रखता है। शारीरिक रूप से, विशुद्ध चक्र विचारों के संचार को नियंत्रित करता है, भावनात्मक रूप से यह स्वतंत्रता, एवं मानसिक रूप से मन में उठने वाले विचारों के प्रवाह को नियंत्रित करता है. आध्यात्मिक रूप में यह, यह सुरक्षा की भावना को जन्म देता है

The ruling planet for this energy center is Saturn. Saturn is like a disciplined teacher. The placement of Saturn in a house in our birth chart gives us tests in that area of life and helps us improve our weak points. At times it limits us, creates obstacles and makes initiatives useless. Saturn does this so we learn the lesson it is trying to teach. Once we learn and discover our limits, he gives us stability, sturdiness and detachment.

यह ऊर्जा केंद्र के लिए सत्तारूढ़ ग्रह शनि है। शनि एक अनुशासित शिक्षक की तरह है। हमारी जन्म कुंडली में किसी भाव में शनि की उपस्थिति उस भाव से सम्बंधित कई कठिनाइयां सामने लाती है। जब हम अपना सबक सीख जाते हैं तो यह हमें समानसिक संतुलन और स्थिरता देता है।  मन को सांसारिक विषयों से हटा कर आध्यात्म की ओर ले जाने में शनि बहुत सहायक होता है।

The fifth chakra also governs the ability to discriminate between the right and wrong within us. This Chakra also gives us a witness state. It helps us to enjoy life while playing our role and witnessing all the tragedies and difficulties like a drama. The earth, the entire universe and planets play a role in this game and put it on stage.

पांचवां चक्र हमें अच्छे और बुरे के बीच में अंतर जान पाने में सहायक होता है। यह चक्र हमें साक्षी भाव भी देता है जिसमें मनुष्य साँसारिक विषयों से ऊपर उठ कर अपने आस पास घटने वाले सारे घटनाक्रमों को एक साक्षी की तरह देखने की क्षमता प्राप्त कर लेता है। वह समझ लेता है कि यह संसार एक माया है और इसमें चलने वाले नाटक में उसकी भूमिका क्या है यह भी वह जान लेता है। इस तरह वह सुख दुःख के द्वन्द को पीछे छोड़ देता है।

The sixth chakra, which is located in the forehead, is called the Ajnya. Ajna chakra is symbolized by a lotus with two petals, and corresponds to the colors violet, indigo or deep blue. It is at this point that the two other Nadis, Ida and Pingla terminate and merge with the central channel

छठा चक्र दोनों आँखों के बीच में भ्रुवोर्मध्य में स्थापित है और इसका प्रतीक दो पंखुड़ियों वाला जमुनी रंग का कमल है। ये वह स्थान है जहाँ पर ईडा पिंगला और सुषुम्ना नाड़ीयों का संगम होता है। 

The seed syllable for this chakra is the syllable OM, and the presiding deity is Ardhanarishvara, who is a half male, half female Shiva/Shakti. The Shakti goddess of Ajna is called Hakini.

इस चक्र का बीज मन्त्र ॐ है अधिष्ठात्री देवता अर्धनारीश्वर है जिसका आधा शरीर पुरुष और आधा नारी का है।  इस चक्र की शक्ति हाकिनी है। 

Ajna is known as the third eye chakra and is linked to the pineal gland. The pineal gland is a light sensitive gland that produces the hormone melatonin which regulates sleep and waking up. Ajna’s key issues involve balancing the higher and lower selves and trusting inner guidance. Mentally, Ajna deals with visual consciousness. Emotionally, Ajna deals with clarity and spiritually it relates to intuition. Sun is the planet associated with this Chakra.

इस चक्र को कूटस्थ चक्र के नाम से भी जाना जाता है और इसका सम्बन्ध पाईनियल ग्लैंड से जुड़ा है। यह ग्लैंड मेलाटोनिन नामक पदार्थ शरीर में प्रवाहित करता है और हमारे सोने और जागने की अवस्था को नियंत्रित करता है। कूटस्थ चक्र सांसारिक और आध्यात्मिक संसार को संतुलन में रखता है और हमारे सहज बोध को उन्नत करता है। मानसिक रूप से यह चक्र दृश्य चेतना के साथ संबंधित है। भावनात्मक रूप से, यह वैचारिक स्पष्टता और आध्यात्मिक रूप से अंतर्ज्ञान से संबंधित है। यह सूर्य से जुड़ा है। 

This point is actually the end of Sushumna Nadi which rises up from the sexual organ to the crown of the head, and then curves over the head and down to the third eye. While the central channel finishes here, the other two Nadis, the Ida and the Pingla continue down to the two nostrils. This chakra rules over our ego and our mental conditions. It forms our sense of identity. We all have different identities that make us unique.

यह चक्र सुषुम्ना नाड़ी का चरम बिंदु है जो कि मूलाधार से शुरू हो कर खोपड़ी तक जाती है और फिर नीचे की ओर मुड़ कर कूटस्थ पर समाप्त हो जाती है।  अन्य दो नाड़ियाँ इड़ा और पिंगला थोड़ा और नीचे जा के नाक के दाएं और बाएं नथनों में समाप्त होती हैं। यह चक्र हमारे अहं और मानस को नियंत्रित करता है और हमें अपनी एक विशेष पहचान का आभास कराता  है।

However, this identity is created by our ego. When Agnya chakra opens, we perceive our spirit, which is a deeper identity within us. We start becoming humble and realize the fact that we are a part of the Paramatma. This Chakra is a very important one and once it opens the goal of attaining Moksha or freedom from the cycle of death and rebirth is within easy reach.

मगर यह पहचान हमारी असली पहचान नहीं है अपितु हमारे अहंकार से जनित एक भ्रम है। जब यह चक्र जागृत हो जाता है तो हमें अपनी आत्मा के दर्शन होते हैं जो कि सर्व शक्तिमान परमात्मा का एक छोटा सा रूप है परंतु जिसमें परमात्मा के सारे गुण मौजूद हैं। यह हमें नम्रता का भाव देता है। यह महत्वपूर्ण चक्र है और इसके जागृत होने के बाद जीवन और मृत्यु के चक्र से मुक्ति अथवा मोक्ष अत्यंत शीघ्र मिल जाता है।
